We collect data during registration and usage of the platform. Registration requires only an email address, password and name, while adding an Instagram handle is optional. Users can create collections and assign names to them. Additionally, books can be added to collections with optional ratings, notes, and reading dates. Custom books can be added with a title and an author.
Public collections display the name of the collection, the optional name and Instagram handle of the user, as well as the added books. Books in public collections may include optional ratings, notes, and reading dates if the user has chosen to make these details publicly visible. Please note that custom books will also be shown in public collections.
All private data is encrypted during transmission and storage. Importantly, no user data – not even in anonymized form – is shared with external interfaces. Only the search terms you enter are processed in order to retrieve and return book information from external sources. In some cases, these search terms may be transmitted to external APIs to provide you with the most accurate results.
